Welcome to the Oxford Inn!

Built in 1906, this lovely home was originally occupied by the family of a local judge. In 1980, it was converted into a B&B named The Artful Lodger. I purchased the B&B in April 2013, rebranded it the Oxford Inn, and began an ambitious multi-year plan of restoration and renovation. I aim to combine modern convenience and functionality with classic, period-appropriate decore. Now essentially complete, the renovations include adding a common room in the attic, with kitchenette, dining area, reading nooks, TV, daybed, and spare bathroom. The common areas are an especially attractive feature for longer stays and larger groups. Central air conditioning, wifi, ample parking, and a pleasant walk through scenic Stratford to all of the theatres make your stay here comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable.

Having read philosophy for the DPhil degree at Oxford, I am in the process of scanning, printing, and framing my pictures of the stunning architecture of the university to adorn the walls of the Inn

To book a room, simply check availability on my availability calendar and complete the reservation request form on this website. I typically confirm reservations within 24 hours.

For your convenience there is a coffee / tea / hot chocolate bar on the second floor, and and a small fridge for your use. Light cooking facilities are available in the Senior Common Room - especially convenient for longer stays and larger parties. I have driveways on both sides of the house; guest Parking is in the driveway on the right side (when facing the B&B).

Breakfast

I offer a full breakfast which typically includes your choice of coffee, tea, hot chocolate and orange juice; an "amuse bouche" to start; a bowl of seasonal fruit (with granola and yogurt on the side); and bacon & eggs any style, served with home-made sourdough rye toast. Sometimes individually prepared omelettes are substituted for eggs any style. Lighter options such as cereal, porridge, baked beans on toast, homemade hashbrowns, and the like are available, too.  I cater to gluten-free, meat-free, and dairy-free diets with advance notice.
