By the end of the day you are going to greatly appeciate the comfort of this haven of calm with central air where you can dream in one of four romantic bedrooms. No two rooms are alike giving you the chance to have a very personalized and unique getaway.
Perhaps share some wine and conversation in the living room or curl up in an antique wicker rocker with a good book in the enclosed front porch or catch some rays of sunshine in the garden.
In the morning your senses are awakened by the delicious aromas coming from the kitchen. Great french press coffee, intoxicating flavours and a festive gourmet (vegetarian friendly) breakfast await to tantalize your taste buds.
Need to destress and unwind? Enhance your stay and treat yourself to our on-site spa services which include relaxing Chair Massage and blissful Reflexology. You deserve it!
Rooms & Amenities
All four guest rooms have their own ensuite bathroom, Wifi, bar fridge, and hair dryer. Rooms #1, #2 and #4 have TVs.
Coffee makers, kettles, ironing board and iron available upon request.
Room #1 is a two room (300 square feet) suite on the second floor. There is a queen size bed, an antique oak dresser and a desk. In the adjoining sitting room there is an antique 3/4 size bed, a wicker love seat and chairs, bar fridge and flat screen LED HD TV. ($40.00 more for a 3rd person in the suite.)
Room #2 is located on the main floor at the front of the house decorated in soothing blue gray and taupes furnished with an antique white iron queen size bed. Pine floors, dresser, chairs, desk, LED HD TV. Overlooking a courtyard and garden. The relaxing enclosed front porch acts as an additional sitting room.
Room #3 is also located on the main floor across the hall from room #2 at the front of the house. It is our smallest room and very cozy painted a soft yellow with white trim with an antique white iron and brass queen size bed . Most suitable for singles or couples who prefer an intimate space. Like room #2 it is handy to the enclosed front porch which acts as a sitting room.
Room #4 is a very spacious (300 square feet) open concept suite with pine floors, high cathedral ceilings and antique windows one of which overlooks the back garden. Our most popular room for couples and it is very private and romantic! It is located on the second floor with queen size bed, sitting area with love seat, chairs, table, dresser, desk, bar fridge, microwave and flatscreen LED HD TV.
REFLEXOLOGY An ancient healing art for today's stresses! Hands on pressure point therapy is used to stimulate the reflex points on the feet that reflect all parts of your being. The fee for an hour of foot bliss is $65.00 with Karen a certified reflexologist since 1997 and the recipient of the Stratford Gazette Reader's Choice Award for Best Reflexologist.
RELAXATION CHAIR MASSAGE Relaxation chair massage combines accupressure, shiastsu and Swedish style massage techniques while you are comfortably seated in an ergonomically designed massage chair with chest pad and face cradle. The massage focuses on stress reduction and relaxation targeting key tension areas in the back, shoulders, neck, arms,hands and scalp. The charge is $35.00 for a half hour session. Both your hosts, Jack and Karen are certified practitioners.
PAMPERING PACKAGE SPECIAL A one hour reflexology treatment and a half hour chair massage is only $95.00 per person!
ORIGINAL ART AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE Many of the paintings throughout Acrylic Dreams are available for purchase as are note cards from taken from originals of Jack's art.
PETS Puccini, a ginger cat accompanied us back from Mexico in 2013 and is in residence. And yes he loves opera!
BREAKFASTS -a delicious culinary adventure! Choice of individual tables for intimacy or a large dining table when travelling as a group.
Delight in tempting and delicious breakfasts that change daily such as homemade lemon ricotta pancakes with lots of fresh fruit and yogurt served with locally produced maple syrup or fluffy emmental cheese and herb omelettes accompanied with garden ripe tomatoes, grain toast and Jack's preserves, or Karen's homemade granola and fruit served with scrumptious scones and jams or scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and chives and potato latkes and bagels and homemade muffins or a phyllo tart of leeks, brocoli and ricotta , goat's cheese and parmesan baked to perfection or a proverbial favourite, Jack's waffles with frozen yogurt and berries in season. A wonderful selection of coffee and teas are available. Vegetarian friendly! Coffee makers and kettles are available in guest rooms by request for anyone who wishes a hot beverage before being seated for breakfast. Please just ask.
All room rates are subject to 13%HST (Harmonized Sales Tax)
Room #1 is $185.00 per night for stays of 2 nights or more.
Add $40.00 for a 3rd person
Room #2 is $155.00 per night for stays of 2 nights or more.
Room #3 is $149.00 per night for stay of 2 nights or more.
Room #4 is $185.00 per night for stays of 2 nights or more.
Please add $20.0 per room plus tax for single night stays in all rooms.
Check in time is between 4 p.m. and 6 pm or by prior arrangement.
Check out time is 11 a.m.
We require a one night deposit per room reservation payable by online email transfer via www.interac.ca/transfer, cheque or credit cards.
We prefer two night minimum reservations whenever possible other than to fill in gaps.
For cancellations made more than 15 days prior to your arrival we will refund your deposit minus a $50.00 administration fee. Cancellations made with less than 2 weeks notice often does not allow us sufficient time to fill your place. We will make every effort to re-book the room or rooms you originally reserved. However, if that is not possible you are responsible for the full cost of the original reservation and any of the nights we are unable to re-book. We advise getting travel insurance.
